Rick Horton

Few works of art are as meditative as the paintings of Concord, North Carolina native Rick Horton (1954-1990). He reached down to his innermost self when painting, creating intensely personal works of art that communicate so much yet remain full of mystery for the viewer.

Horton achieved great success in his lifetime, participating in over sixty gallery and museum exhibitions, as well as being collected by institutions such as the Asheville Museum of Art, Duke University Museum of Art, the Mint Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, among others.
