The smaller piece with bridge like structure depicts the foot of my grandfather’s hand plane (at the bottom) which I did have along with his work box and one of his paint brushes. Just no picture of him. He drowned in the Mississippi in 1920 I do believe – sometime after he and his friend Conrad told the folks at the saloon they were going “across the River.”
